IP CameraConfiguration with Networking

Configuration IP address surveillance camera

We make a free estimate for your configuration problems for the installation, installation and startup of your video surveillance or remote troubleshooting, and intervene on site if necessary. In the event of a breakdown, breakdown or malfunction you encounter on your surveillance camera system. Our customers benefit from a guarantee on the equipment and on the installation.
IP address problem
An IP camera must be recognized on the network it will use with its IP address to operate. An IP address is often configured automatically and can also be set manually. It is used by any device connecting to an IP network. This allows video IP that uses the computer network without the need for a PC to operate. Using software or application, IP video carries digital images of video and audio over the internet network via Ethernet or wireless cable with Wi-Fi.
The IP video is mostly used in video surveillance or video protection that works with IP cameras. Thanks to this network connection (private Internet box), and to a fixed IP address, a surveillance camera is able to be remotely controlled and to transmit us multiple information useful for video surveillance.
The interest of an IP camera lies in its ability to have a fixed network address, which is its own and identifiable. For this reason, we recommend that you use the factory-set IP address or assign a factory-set IP address. What is needed is above all to know it, in order to be able to connect easily. But also verify that the IP address used does not conflict with any other device on the IP network.
Indeed, you may encounter problems connecting your camera to the network if, for example, another device already uses this IP address, in which case it is necessary to assign a fixed and unique IP address of your choice to the IP camera and to all devices sharing the same connection.

AN EXAMPLE :

- camera IP address factory: 192.168.1.20 (HTTP://192.168.1.20)
- modified IP camera address: 192.168.1.251 (HTTP://192.168.1.251)
- 192.168.1.252
- 192.168.1.253 and so on ...
It will first be necessary to verify that these network addresses are available. These are the addresses that identify each of your cameras on the network of the internet box (Live box, Free box, ...). The box, after parameterization, will be able to redirect the video stream of your surveillance cameras, allowing remote access.

The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is also a source of trouble because this function requires the server or the Internet box or the router to assign an IP address to the network itself when it detects the camera or any other device, and that is what we do not want. In fact, the network address is no longer fixed because it is liable to be modified, for example if there was a power failure. Therefore, if you do not use the factory-configured IP address, you will need to set it yourself.
